As part of our core mission to expand access to funding for outdoor entrepreneurs, we curate grant opportunities, connect businesses to a statewide funders network, and champion programs that are designed specifically to help outdoor ventures scale and thrive.
Pennsylvania Trout Tank Grants for Outdoor Buinesses
The Outdoor Business Alliance of Pennsylvania announces a grant opportunity for Pennsylvania’s outdoor businesses through its inaugural Trout Tank grant program.
Grant will range in size from $500 to $2,500 depending on the proposed use and can cover a wide variety of business needs. Applicants selected as finalists will be invited to a virtual pitch session we’re calling Trout Tank—our PA-inspired, friendlier version of Shark Tank. Awardees will be determined following the pitch session.
IMPORTANT DATES:
- Wednesday, July 8: Application period opens
- Wednesday, July 15 at 5:30pm: Optional virtual information session via Zoom (register here)
- Friday, August 7 at 5pm: Application period closes
- Monday, August 17: Finalists notified
- Tuesday August 18 – Monday August 24: Optional virtual pitch preparation sessions
- Thursday, August 27 from 3pm – 6pm: Required pitch competition (finalists only)
- Friday, August 28: Awardees notified and grant agreements distributed
- Friday, September 4: Grant agreement deadline; ACH direct deposits processes
- TBD: Public announcement event
